Liberty Science Center PH Hydronic Heating Condensing Boilers

Project Overview

Industrial Combustion Associates is proud to provide reliable hydronic heating to the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City with QTY 3x Patterson-Kelley MACH C-2500 high efficiency Cast Aluminum condensing boilers.

This installation leverages the amazing power and capabilities of the Patterson-Kelley NURO® control system which is best-in-class:

  • Onboard lead/lag “cascade” system control
  • Open/close control of the motorized isolation valves in the Variable Primary-Only system
  • Variable speed pump control via 4-20mA output from boilers
  • Enable legacy boiler via “Auxiliary Boiler in Cascade” feature

The Patterson-Kelley boiler system is able to maintain the hydronic system within ±0.5°F under steady-state conditions.  In the extremely unlikely event the Patterson-Kelley boilers are unable to maintain the heating load, they are able to call for backup to an existing legacy Cleaver Brooks boiler via the “Auxiliary Boiler in Cascade” feature.
